Funding of activities

The work within NTM is realized in working groups with a large share of voluntary commitment from the member companies. Some work is also done by consultants. NTM is financed mainly through the membership fees and some additional special support for certain development projects. Below, the financiers of such projects are listed.


Environmental Analysis Tool (2008-2011)

The project aims at developing and implementing a new environmental analysis tool for freight transportation, including an environmental database for all transport modes and a web-based calculation tool. The tool will serve transport providers' and transport buyers' future needs for effective, easy and quick calculations of the climate, health and environmental performance of freight transportation and freight transportation chains. Alternative Fuels (2005)

The project aimed at collecting emission data for alternative fuels, taking those vehicles and fuels which could publicly be bought in Sweden in spring 2005 as the initial point. This is working material which shall be evaluated and published by NTM Network for Transport and Environment. The project is financed by

International data for goods and logistics (2001-2004)

The project aimed at developing NTM’s current methods and data into internationally accepted models for all transport modes. It is separately funded by 15 companies and organizations, among which are:
